Another Tuesday! Is it just me or do the weeks fly by? It’s been another busy week. I’m sure we’ve eaten but I only have two pictures to show for it.

Spring is here and so are the Deviled Eggs! I had duck eggs from a friend and they made amazing deviled eggs. I’m not sure why but fresh duck eggs seem to peel easier than fresh chicken eggs. We do not notice a difference in the taste between duck and chicken when they are hard boiled (we do when fried) so since I’m always looking for shortcuts in the kitchen I’ll be trying to keep duck eggs on hand for hard boiled uses. Did I mention that these little egg gems were delicious?

Speaking of delicious… Erin’s Whole-Grain Sourdough Waffles fall under that category. They were so quick and easy to make since they utilize sourdough starter and no additional flour (no soaking needed). We topped them with homemade Buttermilk Syrup which was another winner. This is a recipe that I’ve used for years and adapted to use real food friendly ingredients. I’ll share the recipe soon because I know you will love it too.

If you would like to see what I’ve been so busy with besides for cooking take a look at my other blog. I have pictures there of our garden progress, new trees and our rapidly growing chicks.
